It really looks like the dawn of time. There is simply no sign of human existence when you look over the cliff and see the Athabasca River flowing between miles of primeval forest, backed up by ridges of the Rocky Mountains. The peaks clearly show the ridges and layers of rock as they were thrust up from the bed of the shallow sea which once covered this whole area.
