We actually had the dog first, but when Gordy was born in 1956 it immediately became apparent that we really had two children. They instantly became inseparable, eventually traveling all over Canada as my work took me. Babe, an American Cocker Spaniel, was baby-sitter, watchdog and constant supervisor, as well as having the patience to be the favourite play-thing for ten inquisitive fingers.
Taken in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, around November 1956, I think.
Camera, Exakta Varex 35mm. SLR, 50mm. Biotar lens, Kodak Super XX film, ASA 400
Scanned in 2004 with a Canoscan 4000DPI scanner.
