Lake Maskinonge is the first lake you see when entering Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada. It’s relatively small, but can be accessed from several sides, so photo-ops abound. You may have to do a bit of hiking to get the nicest views.
This was a day of overcast and often ominous-looking clouds but also very calm, so reflections were lovely. The park is the most southerly of the chain of Rocky Mountain parks in Alberta, and joins Glacier National Park in Montana.Together they form the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
