Lake Maskinonge is the first lake you see when entering Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada. It’s relatively small, but can be accessed from several sides, so photo-ops abound. You may have to do a bit of hiking to get the nicest views.
This was a day of overcast and often ominous-looking clouds but also very calm, so reflections were lovely. The park is the most southerly of the chain of Rocky Mountain parks in Alberta.

are you still having fond memories of that visit George :-))
This is beautiful. I never got a good reflection of the lakes in Waterton and I was there 2 weeks!
Those memories will never go away:) We just loved the park, there are so many places to see and capture and in a small area, and we also loved the little town. So laid-back compared to Banff or even Jasper. We both felt we’d actually like to live there.

This is a real beaut as well George. I so enjoy the captures with reflections. I’m hoping that if there is another Meet N’ Greet John and I can meet up with yourself and Jann. :>))
Thanks Leslie..you’re going to see a few more of this lake, on both our sites. We were able to get to it from both sides..from the actual park road and also from off highway 6, the one that goes down to Chief Mtn. lookout. You have to do a few short hikes, but easy walking and the lake looks quite different.
