The sun rises over one of the headlands bordering the Atlantic Ocean at Lawrencetown Beach, Nova Scotia, Canada, a few miles east of Halifax/Dartmouth along what is known as the Eastern Shore. The beach has become well known to surfers over the past 20 years or so. For awhile, I lived on top of a hill just off the left side of the picture, and the beach was a favourite place except in winter! This was the first morning of my trip back home in 2005.

Incredible colours, George!
Hi David, many thanks my friend, I seldom take sunrises and I should..the morning light is so much softer and pastel-like, quite a difference (my opinion..lol!)

you were up early to catch that beautiful sunrise George, and well worth it,,,,,,,this is beautiful
You’re right Vickie, it was very unusual for me! Jann’s the early bird, but this was the first morning back home and I took her out to see the place where I used to live, and sunrise was ideal timing.

Hi Dennis, many thanks for your kind comments, much appreciated. I just read your very interesting profile.I have the same 3880 printer, and for the same reasons. I like to keep control of my own work as much as possible, and I find it an excellent machine. I want to spend time to look through your work… George

I’ve had no problems whatever. Like everything I’ve ever bought from Epson, I unpacked, set it up, read the book, calibrated my LaCie monitor and everything worked as required. I use several types of paper (all Epson) and the results have been perfect. Mine is about 2 years old and I’ve replaced some inks more than others, as usual, but the local dealer keeps them in stock so not a worry. Once in awhile I run the maintenance routines but that’s a habit from being a technician all my life. Old habits never die! Cheers, George
