My son was just a few months old and our cocker spaniel, Babe, never left his side unless he was in his crib, and even then, she slept beside it. They were both camera-happy, all I had to do was take it out and they were ready for photo-time.
BTW, Babe was a wedding present to my wife and I; her Mother was a registered spaniel breeder.She lived a little over 13 years.
