Babe was the runt of the litter, so she was given to us as a wedding present..neat way to get rid of a problem! But with a ton of love she became our first “child”, pre-dating our first real one by about a year..lol!Blossoming into a beautiful animal with a great disposition, we couldn’t have loved her more. She traveled innumerable miles with us, all over the continent, never a problem, always a perfect baby-sitter, and after 13 years she left us.
She looks a little frowsy here because she just had a bath, and the grooming was yet to come. As most will know, she was an American Cocker Spaniel.
This was taken about December 1955, in Newmarket, Ontario.
The camera was an Exakta Varex 35mm.SLR, f2.0 50mm. Biotar lens (I still have them).
Film was Kodachrome ASA 10, exposure probably 1/100 @ F6.3
Scanned 49 years later with a Canoscan 4000DPI scanner.
