Autumn comes to Cape Breton Highlands National Park in a blaze of colours that is unmatched anywhere. Birches and maples especially come out in brilliant reds,orange and gold shades.
The park makes up of most of the north end of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, and is accessed by the Cabot Trail, the scenic road which encircles the same part of the island and contains the park and several small villages along the way.

The beauty of Autumn….and captured so well. I thought they were birch too, wonderful for bonfire night in the east. We celebrate Guy Fox Night back there. :) You brought the east to the west, that’s pretty cool. :)
Hi Gail, glad you liked this one. It was 4 years ago but I do manage to get some of them posted:) This was just before Thanksgiving and we spent several days around the Trail, the colours were probably at their peak. We just parked the car and went off into the nearest woods and took a pile of shots. Hard to pick the best one..lol! oh, thanks for the fave!
