Bow River Valley by George Cousins

Taking any trip through the parks of the Canadian Rocky mountain chain offers innumerable spectacular scenes but I’ve always thought this part of Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, has some truly awesome views. This one is looking down into the Bow River Valley towards the south end of the park. As usual, one can easily see the layers of ancient sea-bed from the ages when this part of North America was a shallow sea.

    Such magnificent country! Just gorgeous!

  • I took this same one about 1994 with 35mm. but couldn’t remember where it! So when I saw it again, it all came back to me and this time took a whole series, even wrote it down in my notebook:)

Looks wonderful George……A very nice perspective here !!

  • Thanks Sean, I guess it’s a standard with a zillion people, but the view is impossible to resist. I’m glad you like the perspective, that took a bit of footwork and!
