By standing in one place and swinging the camera, I hope I was able to get most of Crescent Beach in some sort of perspective. I probably should have tried a panorama, but great thoughts happen too late!
The beach is on the south coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, close to Lunenburg and other smaller communities, and is one of the best beaches anywhere. Not the least of it’s virtues is being not well-known, and a little off the beaten track. Hence, on this very hot day in July 2010, there were a few people there but the crowds were somewhere else, and that’s OK!

Nice shot, George. Too bad our tour only took us to the east.

  • Hi Joseph, thank you. Well, you covered a lot of ground on your tour and it would have been impossible to fit everything in on one trip. We go back every year and this was the first time we’d managed to get out to Crescent. Just too many by-ways to explore:)

What a beautiful beach, George. Two lovely captures! I’m surprised it’s not packed, although, as you say, it’s off the beaten path. A good thing!

Hi Mike, and happy Thanksgiving Day, before I forget! Thanks for the compliment, always appreciated. The beach actually is only a few kilometers off the #3 highway, but I think there are so many beaches right along the road, most people just stop at the first one. It’s also in an area of smaller communities and that helps keep the crowds away. But it’s well worth the drive:)
