I always wonder at the tenacity of trees that can find a foothold on the sheer rock walls of a mountain and continue to grow year after year, despite the rigors of snow,ice and storms. It’s hard to judge relative sizes, but they really are quite large trees, clinging to the side of a peak in the Rocky Mountains in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada.
