Someone’s old homestead on the prairies of Alberta, Canada, where the prairie melds into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains near Waterton Lakes National Park. One of those magical mornings when the tops of the mountains are still shrouded in mists, the clouds looks quite menacing , but the sun has broken through enough to light up the wildflowers. I always wonder what stories those old walls could tell of the early days of settlement in the Canadian West.

I love the skies, although I’m tired of seeing this weather in real wet life! It makes for great dandelion crops!! Beautiful shot!
Hi Kay, we’ve all had our fill of wet weather I think. It’s been a soggy spring here on Vancouver Island. We went over to Waterton to get away from it, but still had two days before the sun broke through. Still, it was a beautiful trip..we were even in Montana for a little while LOL!

this is a beautiful shot George, somehow I missed seeing this one in the two weeks we drove the area (nice to see you again), congratulations on your features :-))
Hi Vickie, many hanks. This was taken from the back yard of the little motel in Mountain View. There were some really nice scenes out back of there, including a little cemetary up on a small hill, with grazing horses. Quite nostalgic scenes Hope he trip is going well and you’re having good weather. We’re in N.S. at the present and catching up on family happenings.
