Morning,Margaree Harbour by George Cousins

Margaree Harbour is a small fishing village on the west coast of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. It has a small harbour connected to the Gulf of St. Lawrence by the narrow passage you can see in this photo. Boats are guided by the marker buoys in the channel and by the lighthouse. The village is on the Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic drives in the world. This photo was taken in early morning, with the rising sun starting to burn off the fog that accumulated overnight.

Lovely capture George……looks like a wonderful spot !!

  • Hi Sean, hope you’re feeling better and on the mend..good to see you again.
Thanks very much for your kind comment, it’s a little place I first went to when I was probably about 10 years! Hasn’t changed much, but still just as pretty!

I love this one George. It reminds me of the Clare shore! Unfortunately this year we will not be making it down….next time you come east you MUST check the ‘french shore’ out!! It is amazing and know you will find lots to shoot!!

  • Thanks Phil. It was the French Shore that we wanted to head for today, Jann has never seen it and It’s been about 30 years for me too,We hope to do it this week if the weather moderates a bit.We did the Bear River area in 2005 in a torrential rain.LOL!!!
