The Olympic Mountains in Washington State, USA, stand across the Strait of Juan De Fuca from Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The strait is the international boundary but also the connection for shipping from the Pacific Ocean to the ports of Seattle, Vancouver, Victoria and others.
