The Coast Mountains are on the Pacific Ocean coastline of British Columbia, Canada. Rising abruptly from the sea, they have a huge influence on weather patterns, trapping much of the on-shore moisture and causing the heavy rainfall which nourishes the huge “rainforest” areas and the mild winter temperatures.
This scene was taken in the area just north of Howe Sound, not far from Britannia Beach.
