Cameron Lake is almost half-way across the width of Vancouver Island,British Columbia, Canada, a few miles from the town of Port Alberni. It’s also very close to McMillan Provincial Park and Cathedral Grove, with its wonderful stand of old-growth rain forest. Because of the delicate ecological aspects of the Park, no camping is allowed in it, so a number of excellent sites are available along the shores of Cameron Lake, most of them being an easy walking distance to the big trees.
