Cathedral Grove is a protected area of west coast rain forest, a short distance from Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The grove is part of McMillan Park, and contains numerous giant Douglas firs, western Red Cedar and other trees indigenous to the coastal areas of B.C. It’s difficult to really appreciate the size and height of these giants unless you can stand there and crane your neck upward to try to see the tops. Even then, about all you can do is try to guess.
