*After waiting most of my life to see it, this was my first view of Maligne Lake, Jasper National Park,Alberta,Canada. It wasn’t a disappointment! One of the most famous places in the Canadian Rocky mountains, the lake is surrounded by pristine forests and ranges of mountains. The day was windy at the high elevations but at lake level, all was calm and peaceful.

How are you George? This is jaw dropping beautiful mate, lucky you!
Hi Adrian, how are you? I’ve not been too active lately on RB, had a bunch of things to do that I’d put off too long..lol! Glad you liked this one, I saw pictures of it when I was in my teens and it took a lifetime to get there, but it was worth it. I have to go back again this spring!
Cheers, George

George, must go back when its not frozen over.
You really must..we’re going to try to get there in March or April, before the tourist season starts.

Superb photo George and well worth waiting a lifetime to see. This really typifies the Canada I’ve so often seen in magazine photos! Great work.

Many thanks Peter..getting to Lake Maligne was fulfilling a dream, and it was even more beautiful than I’d expected. Keeping the park in it’s natural condition makes the experience quite wonderful.
