When my first son was very young he was always fascinated by the sky, clouds, sunsets and storms. He was 9 months old when we were staying at a farm in the countryside near Chatham, New Brunswick,Canada, a place with beautiful and dramatic summer sunsets. That evening I sat him on the hood of my car and let him watch a rapidly changing and brilliant cloud and sun display. It was June, 1957, the camera was an Exakta 35mm. SLR, using a 50mm. Biotar lens, and I think Kodachrome ASA10 film. The exposure is long forgotten.
The slide was scanned in 2004 using a Canoscan 4000DPI scanner.
BTW, this is not a composite. One photo only.

Beautiful shot, George. Very nicely done!

  • Thanks Mike..he’s a very big guy now..about 6 ft. and 260 lbs. He grew a bit from that photo! I always liked the shot and I managed to misplace the folder where I put the but finally found it.
