Cap Rouge is on the western shore of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, a few miles north of the town of Cheticamp. The road you see winding up over the hills is part of the Cabot Trail, which encircles the northern part of the Island and contains Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The water is the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Taken in late September 2006 with a Sony DSCF828 camera.
