The stretch of Highway 99 that runs from Vancouver,British Columbia, Canada up to the resort town of Whistler, is called the Sea to Sky Highway because of following the Pacific coast for about a third of the way and then heading inland and climbing into and through the Coast Mountains. This scene is just about where the turn inland occurs.

Aug.29,2005, Sony DSCF828 camera.

    There’s a view and a half !!!

  • Yep, it sure is! It’s the road everyone will be taking to get to the 2010 Olympics, but I bet not many will slow down enough to see what they’re missing:)

Beautiful shot, George! What a gorgeous scene!

  • Good morning Mike, and thank you..that road is so twisting and winding it’s hard to get good shots because you’re past the right spot before you know it. Luckily that day we were just loafing along and managed to get a few good ones.
