Introducing Scoop Neck Tees and Unisex Tanks — FIND OUT MORE

I seldom get the chance to see mountains in the moonlight, and having the rolling stormy clouds was an unexpected bonus.Luckily it was a full moon and gave enough light to shine on the snow and also illuminate breaks in the clouds. This was taken in the mountains of Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, with a Fuji S100FS camera.

Absolutely beautiful, George! What a wonderful scene!

  • Thanks Mike..it’s a rare scene for me, and I’m glad it turned out so well. There’s something very beautiful about moonlight on snow at any time, and the mountains just add to it.

A cracker George and easily the equal of the other similar one you uploaded a couple of weeks ago. I remember how taken I was with that one. It’s wonderful how the light co-operated with you on this shot – you couldn’t have done better had you planned it yourself!
    Best wishes

Many thanks Peter, glad you liked this one also. It’s a rare occurance for me and I had to make the most of it..It certainly wasn’t planned..LOL! There was a lot of wind at the upper levels and the clouds were moving along quite fast so I propped the camera up and took a whole series. This one and the earlier one were the best of the bunch as far as light was concerned.
    Take care,
    George
