It’s been photographed countless times, and is recognized all over the world. But I had to take my own personal version of Spirit Island! The little island is at the south-west end of Maligne Lake, in Jasper National Park, Alberta,Canada.The turquoise waters indicate the lake is glacier fed, and the ranges of the Canadian Rocky Mountains surround it on all sides.

I agree you can’t rush these things, George. I’m Australian and have not yet visited Ayers Rock (Uluru). It’s on my To Do list! (As is more of Canada!!)
