Yes there was. In the village of Sooke, a few miles west of Victoria, Vancouver Island,British Columbia,Canada. We were doing a “wander” when we came across some wild(?) deer who were having a great time investigating back yards and flower beds. We asked one lady if we could take some photos and spent an hour or so watching this one, and others, making themselves at home among the flower beds and bird baths. They normally lived in a large wooded area across the road but were quite happy to be friends with the local neighbours. At the first sight or sound of a dog, they were gone like a flash!

Yes, I couldn’t quite believe it myself! But it’s a quiet area and all the people just let them roam freely..nice to see such tolerance on both sides!
