With the gray skies of fall and the rainy season starting here on the West Coast of Canada, I thought a dash of bright spring flowers would be a nice change. These tulips were in Beacon Hill Park, the largest of the city of Victoria’s park system. Victoria, on Vancouver Island, is the capital of British Columbia and the Park is at the south end, very close to downtown and also overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains. So photo-ops are abundant, and you can get there from downtown by walking,bus,taxi,horse-drawn carriage, cycling,mo-peds or whatever else. It’s close and easy!
