Not being one myself, I can only assume that a good rock-climber would be happy to tackle these cliffs and rock walls on one of the many mountains (part of the Rocky Mountain chain)surrounding Maligne Lake. The Lake is in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, and is world-famous as one of the most beautiful lakes anywhere. It’s only a short drive from the town of Jasper, which has all the amenities for a short or long stay, of any kind. With very unsettled weather conditions, I was hoping to get a break in the clouds and have the sun shine on the yellowish walls and leave the downhill forests a bit in the shadow. As sometimes happens, fortune favours the hopeful..and patient!
