Falls in the Forest by George Cousins

Traveling through the wilderness anywhere in British Columbia can bring unexpected joys if you want to see wild nature at it’s best. We found this waterfall in the midst of dense forest fairly close to Blue River, which is to the west of Mt. Robson Provincial Park. I have no idea of it’s name, or even if it has one. It was impossible to get really close to it.

Taken Sept.3, 2009, with a Fuji S100FS camera, ISO 400, 1/30 sec. , F5.2, 400 mm.

    Awe! Beautiful.

  • Thanks Wanda..it was a lucky find, and even with the heavy forest and a light rain I was happy to get a few good shots. Glad you liked it!

What a stunning capture. Great composition and light.

  • Thanks Anna..it was very overcast and a light rain so I was surprised when I got a very brief bit of sunlight breaking through and hitting the falls. Patience pays off at times..:)

Oh my goodness, the trees make such drama!!

  • Thanks Kay.the forest was very dense with many huge trees, and they did provide a lovely natural frame. Nature really can be the best artist, we just have to accept it and take the picture :)

Lovely shot, George. Nature certainly can do her magic!

  • Thanks again Mike..I wish I knew if this one had a name, it probably does but I can’t find it on any of my maps. Then again, I’m not sure I’m looking in the right place either..:)

WOW, you didn’t need to get really close to get a spectacular shot! This is gorgeous!

  • Thanks Teresa, it was a bit of luck just finding the place, and not a very sunny day so I was quite happy it turned out so well:)
