Nothing can compare to the autumn colours in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia. And the very best are to be found along the Cabot Trail, which encircles the northern part of the island. On the hillsides the views can be marvelous, but actually hiking through the trees and along the woodland paths really makes one realize what a wonderful paintbrush is wielded by Mother Nature. This scene is near Grand Anse, and all we did was park the car on the side of the Trail and start off into the woods. Many shots later, we were tired enough to return!
