The constantly-changing patterns of the Ross Fountain in the Butchart Gardens, Victoria,Vancouver Island, British Columbia, serve as a lovely backdrop for the array of flowers and plants that line the walkway and viewpoint. The fountain was conceived and built by Ian Ross, grandson of Jenny Butchart, in the deepest part of the sunken garden. This was part of the original limestone quarry which had been worked out. The garden was started by Jenny in 1904. It’s a National Historic Site of Canada and has been visited by millions of people from all over the world.
