A lovely warm summer day on the beach at the base of the cliffs of Cape Blomidon, on the Bay of Fundy shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. While I was wandering around doing my beach-combing, Jann found this old piece of tree trunk was perfectly suited for a quick nap in the sun. Flotsam like this comes in all shapes and sizes, but seldom do you find one that seems to be created for such a useful purpose- backrest, footrest, just the right angle for comfortable back support!
The water is Minas Basin, a large inlet of the world-famous Bay of Fundy, site of the highest tides in the world. This area is all part of Blomidon Provincial Park, with campgrounds, picnic areas, miles of hiking trails and wonderful views of cliffs, headlands, forests and the open sea.
