Problem is, I can’t remember which street it was! Ottawa, Ontario, the capital of Canada, had many such decorations for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth 2, on June 2, 1953. I was stationed in Ottawa at the time and just getting started in 35mm. photography. This was one of my first tentative attempts at time exposures using Kodachrome ASA 10 film. I do remember it was about 11 PM, still a fair bit of traffic, and I was using a tripod on the sidewalk, with an Exakta Varex SLR and F 2.0 Biotar lens. Exposure was certainly several seconds, and no doubt the lens was wide open.
Scanned in 2004 with a Canoscan 4000US scanner.

Great shot, George. Nice long exposure. Looks a little like Wellington Street – could be wrong, though!
Thanks Mike, and you could certainly be right about the street. It was right downtown near Confusion Square. My memory is too dim to be sure..lol!
