Morning at Margaree Harbour, a small village on the west coast of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. The village is on the world-famous Cabot Trail which describes a rough circle around the northern part of the island. Margaree is mostly a fishing village, and in this image you can see the twin lighthouses which guide returning boats into the narrow opening which protects the harbour from the storms of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, especially in winter. The morning mists are mostly gone in this image, but shortly before, there was nothing to see here except a heavy fog.
Taken in early October 2006 with a Sony DSCF828 camera.

Ok now i’m getting homesick. Great capture!

  • I’m glad you liked it, but sorry if it makes you homesick! Me too, I’m from Cape Breton myself!
