This is a small part of one flower bed in the Italian Garden at Butchart’s Gardens in Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada. I’m amazed that a gardener could manage to get so many different plants, all the same size, growing together in such a profusion of colour. And it’s only one of many such beds! I’ll post a view of the overall scene later on, but for now, I thought just this riot of colour might be nice.

So beautiful George, the colours are wonderful, xx

  • Good morning Ann, and thank you again. You probably remember the Italian garden flower beds, they are just unbelievable this year, we’ve had so much sun and quite hot weather. Too hot really.. it broke all-time records yesterday!

Profusion is right. What a marvellous display of colour. Very nicely done.

  • Hello Mike, and thank you. It’s hard to pick a favourite spot at Butcharts, but I think these flower beds have the most dense variety of flowers.
