Alberta Foothills by George Cousins

Driving east from British Columbia into the province of Alberta (Canada) one descends from the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies into the “foothill” country. This area forms the transition to the rolling terrain of Southern Alberta but not yet into the prairies. This image is in the eastern end of Crowsnest Pass, one of the gateways through the Rockies. I admired the nice home snuggled in the trees and sheltered by the bulk of the mountain, and thought it must be a very peaceful and delightful place to live.
Taken with a Sony DSCF828 camera, August 2006.

Your captured this beautifully. Must be great for the people that live there, to be able to look out of their window and this beautiful mountain.

I was thinking the same thing as I looked at the scene. I could imagine the changing seasons and how beautiful it must be throughout the year. Glad you liked it Wanda, thank you.
