A pair of Canada Geese out for an afternoon swim on one of the ponds in Beacon Hill Park, Victoria, Vancouver Island. They had a little brood of new-borns but kept them well hidden under some weeds and bushs, so I had to wait for another time.
For visitors, the park is at the south end of Victoria, just a short walk from downtown, or you can take a taxi,bus,horse-drawn carriage, rent a bike or scooter..whatever suits your fancy. It’s a huge park and you can easily spend a couple of days if you enjoy nature. There’s also a big petting zoo for the kids.
