Artist's Description

Early morning of October 16, 2006, and we were up and about to catch the morning fog over the harbour and the dawn light on the lobster fishing boats. The sun’s first heat generates wisps of steam off the cold waters, which come into the harbour from the Gulf of St. Lawrence on the west coast of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. In the background is the highway bridge crossing the Margaree River and joining the villages of Margaree Harbour and Bell Cote. The road carries the world-famous Cabot Trail which circles the north part of the Island after leaving the town of Baddeck and traversing the beautiful verdant Margaree Valley, famous for it’s beautiful scenery, quiet lakes, and good fishing.
Camera was a Sony DSCF828
