Reminiscent of the famous poem by William Wordsworth,
“I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils; "

A small part of one of the daffodil farms on the Saanich Peninsula of Vancouver Island. This one is just south of the town of Sidney, quite close to my son’s house.

Fuji S100FS camera, April 18, 2009.

The only other place I’ve seen this much yellow is my lawn.
    Nice image, George !

  • Thanks Stan! Are you referring to dandy-lions???lol
I must try some panoramas, these fields would probably look great in one.

This is amazing George. To see them in such a mass must have been incredible. My grandmother had one huge long row of daffodils growing on the old property many years ago and I will never forget that vision.

  • Thanks Bev. There are several big daffodil farms around this area, it’s hard to get the full expanse in one picture, really needs a very wide angle lens or a panorama. I think I’ll go out again and see what I can do with one. The flowers will be blooming for awhile yet.
