Another of my forays into Beacon Hill Park in southern Victoria, Vancouver Island, early last March (2008). I think this was a really big plant or bush, but it could have been a small tree, me being quite ignorant of the fine differences! But it had these really nice little bunches of blossoms and I liked the contrast between them and the rich dark green leaves. If anyone can identify it, I’ll edit this section and put in the proper name. Taken with a Fuji S100FS camera.

    They are a pretty flower.
    Good one, George.

  • Yes, they looked so nice with those dark green leaves. Times like this I would like to know more about horticulture :)

Hoping this is indeed a small tree LOL
    Lovely blossoms and great colours

  • LOL.. I am fairly sure it was, but it was in a mass of trees and bushes and hard to tell which trunk it belonged to. They have all sorts of both wild and ornamental trees down there and a lot are at different ages and stages of growth. You know, like is an oak still a tree when it’s an acorn? :):) Oh, thanks for the kind words on the colours.

A wonderfully clear, sharp picture George and if it can’t be identified than it’s through no fault of yours. Great work indeed. Peter

  • Thanks Peter. I’m really not much good identifying flowers and trees, but I do like to photo them. Sometimes a person on RB tells me what they are. Cheers, George
