July 26, 2007, on Lawrencetown Beach, Nova Scotia, one of the provinces biggest beaches, which has become a major surfing beach over the past 20 years or so. I used to live on a hill overlooking the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, about a mile from this spot. If you want a beautiful day hike, leave Dartmouth on Highway 7 going east, until you reach Ross Road. Turn right, follow it to the end, then turn left onto Highway 207, which will take you out to this beach and another one almost beside it. For small kids, the first one is probably better as it has numerous warm tidal pools which kids love to splash in, and they’re safe. Enjoy!

  • Thanks MaeBelle. I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, and lived for awhile very close to this beach. I love the ocean can’t be away from it very long.
