Her name was K.C., the initials of my daughter-in-law.I was the Grandpa but she lived with me for awhile and she was my pet,companion and best friend. We shared oatmeal cookies together, I could never resist her soulful brown eyes.She was a German Shepherd, how much purebred I never knew nor cared. And I miss her, there’s nothing more to be said.
Taken with a 35mm Exakta SLR in my backyard,

A man may smile and bid you hail
Yet wish you to the devil;
But when a good dog wags his tail,
You know he’s on the level.

    She looks beautiful, George. I be she was the perfecto companion. Hope the cookies were one for her and one for you not first bite for her and the rest for you. lol.

  • She actually belonged to my son’s family but she used to adopt me, and vice versa. We shared cookies and TV together many!

    These precious animals I feel are God’s special gifts to us. They grow so close to our hearts and quickly become one of our “kids”, don’t they?! I’m glad you had the gift of her love for so long. She is truly a beautiful animal. I’m sure you meant as much to her as she did to you. Blessings, my friend – Pat

  • Thank you Pat. She was actually my son’s family pet, but she was at my house a lot and we were her baby-sitters when they were away and she was very special to me. Sometimes I think they become more than children because they give so much and ask for so little. Thank you for making her a Favourite.
