Let me say first, I’m not very good at identifying flowers, but I do know tulips! The others, I’m not sure of. This was taken in Beacon Hill Park, Victoria, British Columbia, mid-April 2008, with a Fuji S100fs Finepix camera. They had already been in bloom for quite awhile, thanks to the mild climate and early spring that we get here on Vancouver Island. To do a day hike, the park is at the south end of Victoria facing the ocean and the Olympic Mountains, and easily reached by car, bus, foot or horse-drawn carriage tours. It’s very big, so take time to wander and enjoy. All the amenities of Victoria are within walking distance.
