On the highway between Banff and Jasper National Parks,in Alberta, Canada, this massive sheer wall of rock comes to life in the spring and early summer with dozens of waterfalls. The melting snowpack from the higher elevations finds its way down through cracks and fissures in the wall, bursting out at random as the water pressure builds up. Mountain goats can often be seen on the rock face, though none were present this day in April 1993.
Taken with a 35mm.Exakta Varex SLR, high speed Ektachrome film, scanned in 2004 at 4000dpi using a Canoscan 4000US scanner.
