Which was what happened. I shot quite a few, trying to get the biggest burst of surf. This was a really snap-shot and then ducked and hurried backwards before getting drenched. Didn’t quite work that way! A wild Atlantic ocean storm south of Halifax, late afternoon on October 21, 2006. Combined with high winds and gusts of heavy rain,it lasted most of the day and into the night, very enjoyable if you like storms and don’t mind getting very wet and blown around.
Sony DSCF828 camera.

Had to shoot quick before all that water got to the lens.
    Good shot, George.

  • The image was uploaded first because I hit Enter by mistake and that sent it on it’s way too soon..lol. You guessed what my comments would be anyway.. too true! Had to go back and edit. I was a drowned rat before that afternoon was ended.

Another great one George – when I look at these I think it would be worthwhile getting wet for.

  • Oh, it really is. Every time I get into one of these storms, I usually find one or two other die-hards out on the rocks with me. Getting wet is not bad, getting wet and very cold isn’t quite so nice..lol! But worth it in the end.

Bravely shot! Not the sort of water one wants to be swimming, fishing or sailing in.

  • Hi there, and thanks for dropping by..appreciate your kind comment, and you’re right about the water!
