Magnificent tall ships George – do they have this festival every year and how many vessells would they have attending. It sounds like a great event.

  • It’s approximately every 4 or 5 years, coincides with a Tall Ships race across the Atlantic from various ports in Europe. This one was in 2007 and there were about 50 ships. This summer is the 250th.birthday of Halifax, and there is going to be another Festival. They are expecting up to 70 or more ships, from July 16 to 29th. The one in 2000 had ships from about 30 countries all over the world. If you click on the link to my other gallery at Yessy.com, I have over 100 photos of the 2007 festival and almost every ship that was in it. The American Bus Association rates it the No.1 attraction in all Canada for this year.
