In the summer of 1954, myself and two others were operating a survey camp in north-central Quebec Province, Canada. We spent 3 months near this waterfall on a branch of what was then called the Fort George River. It was hard to get a good vantage point for photos. One of my buddies made it to the crest of the falls (upper right). All of this area is now part of the huge LaGrande Reservoir, part of a Hydro Quebec power project. Taken with an Exakta Varex 35mm.SLR, using Ektachrome film with a 50mm. F2.0 Biotar lens. Original slide scanned at 4000dpi using a Canoscan 4000US scanner.
