Lifeboat 101 belongs to the Canadian Coast Guard and at the time of this photo it was stationed at Clark’s Harbour on the south-west tip of Nova Scotia. An area renowned for thick fogs in the summer months. It’s purpose was to help provide search and rescue in the area, being designed to be extremely seaworthy. Photo taken in 1968 using a 35mm.Exakta Varex SLR, 50mm Biotar lens, high speed Ektachrome film. The slide was scanned in 2004 at 4000bpi using a Canoscan 4000US scanner.
