So many facets of the Canadian prairies,in one photo. Grasslands of course, and flat stretches, but also a winding river, it’s banks lined with large trees, in the distance some rolling hills, and on the far horizon, dimly visible, several hundred windpower generating towers.Southern Alberta, August, 2006,Sony DSCF828 camera.

a true prairie scene George, I can see the wind towers too!

  • Hi Vickie..it was one of those views that seemed to cover so many aspects. Now if I could have had a big river, a canyon,an oil derrick and the sand hills of Saskatchewan.. maybe a montage? lol

I really enjoy this whole prarie series. This one, in particular, not only shows the vastness of the prarie but also it’s diversity. There’s a lot more to it than a flat pancake.
Thanks for the whole lot of them, George.

  • You’re certainly welcome Stan, I’m glad you enjoy them. I have quite a few but want to space them out. I’ll get them on eventually!
