Lighthouses along the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia,Canada, come in many shapes and sizes. This one is at Port Bickerton, Guysborough County, on the Eastern Shore. It guards a snug fishing harbour and is a welcome sight for fishermen coming in through the ocean fog that blankets the waters just a short way offshore.

    nice one!

  • Thanks Ding. I love lighthouses and go out of my way to find them. This one is off the beaten track but those are often the most interesting.

There it sits so pristine and beautiful. Doing it’s task everyday. Just a wonderful capture George. :>)) Leslie

  • There’s a gift shop in that lighthouse with some of the most beautiful folk art, carvings, paintings, etc. all done by local fishermen. Well off the beaten track at the end of a little road. Very much a Maritime thing!
