Castle Mountain, Banff National Park,Alberta, Canada on a cold, windy early morning after leaving Canmore,Alberta, and heading into the heart of the Rockies.
Banff National Park is one of the largest and oldest in Canada, straddling the high ridges of the Canadian Rockies along the Alberta-British Columbia watershed. It is world-famous and has attracted millions of visitors from many countries. Castle Mountain is rather unique because it stands fairly alone and doesn’t get “lost” among a jumble of other peaks.
Taken with a Sony DSCF828 camera while standing on the side of the road, getting very cold, and hoping the wind and clouds would cooperate in giving me some good images.

Magnificent scenery George – I can still recall the amazing beauty of this area.

  • Thanks Bev. I posted this awhile ago but I wanted to get it into a new group, and wasn’t sure if it would be shown as an entirely new posting. I guess the duplication can’t be avoided.
