Where it came from, who knows? The remnants of this old monarch came ashore on a beach at Victoria, British Columbia, driven by one of the many winter storms that come in off the Pacific. I waited awhile until the black crow came along and kindly gave me the perspective I wanted. Fuji S100fs camera, July 25, 2008

Wonderful composition in this shot George!!! :-))
Thanks, I saw this old stump one day and had to go back with the camera, even the crow doesn’t really show how big it is.
